If your boiler is not working, you could check a few items first.

1. Is the power switch at the boiler on?
2. Is the circuit breaker or fuse OK?
3. Is the gas on to the boiler or building?
4. If it has a standing pilot, is it lit?
5. Is the thermostat set for heat and above the room temperature?
6. If you  have multiple thermostats, try each one.
7. Is the pump running?
8. Is the water to the boiler on?
