If your furnace is not working, you could check a few items first.

1. Is the power switch at the furnace on?
2. Is the circuit breaker or fuse OK?
3. Is the blower door on properly?
4. Is the gas on to the furnace or building?
5. If it has a standing pilot, is it lit?
6. If you have a hot surface ignitor, do you see an orange glow before the burners try to light?
7. If the burners light, do they stay on?  How long do they stay on?
8. Is the thermostat set for heat and above the room temperature?
9. Is the filter clean?
